Information was published in the media that the explosives used to commit the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge on October 8, 2022 were disguised in a truck driven by an RA citizen who had previously entered the Republic of Armenia from abroad, and then went to the Russian Federation.

In order to verify the accuracy of the information received and clarify all the circumstances of the case, in the Investigation Department of the RA National Security Service, under the relevant articles of the RA Criminal Code, criminal proceedings were initiated in connection with obvious cases of complicity in international terrorism, smuggling of explosives across the EAEU border by a group of persons by prior agreement, as well as falsification of legal documents, within the framework of which interrogations, seizures and other investigative and procedural actions were carried out.

The preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings continues in order to clarify the actual circumstances of the case, urgent investigative and operative-search complex measures are being taken using all possible means of legal tools, about the result of which the National Security Service of RA will provide relevant information to the public as necessary.
