On 8 July, 2020, at around 11-12 a.m., while grazing his own livestock on the pastures of the administrative territory of Gorayk community of the Syunik Province of the Republic of Armenia bordering the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a resident of Nerkin Khndzoresk village of Syunik region, a citizen of the Republic of Armenia born in 1990 Narek Sardaryan went missing. It was established that N. Sardaryan got lost in search of missing livestock, and crossed into the territory of Nakhchivan of the Republic of Azerbaijan, where he was captured.

N. Sardaryan is characterized as a patriotic, calm and hard-working person, he has never had problems with local self-government bodies and law enforcement agencies. N. Sardaryan has a family and minor children, whom he takes care of.

Currently, appropriate measures are being taken in the direction of returning Narek Sardaryan to the Republic of Armenia.
