On 9 October, Interim Director of the National Security Service of RA colonel Eduard Martirosyan hosted the Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorist structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (RATS CSO)  Jumakhon Giyosov.  

Introducing the functions of the structure J. Giyosov stated:That the Executive Committee is coordinating the competent authorities of the Member States collaboration in the fight against terrorism, separatism and extremism.  According to his speech, enhancement of international cooperation is one of the priorities of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization as well as participation of the partner states in the joint work of the SC structure in the fight against terrorism. 

Highly appreciating the works of the SC Organization in the fight against terrorism, E. Martirosyan noted that the threat of terrorism is one of the global challenges facing humanity in the 21st century, and therefore, the fight against terrorism is one of the priorities of the activity of the national security bodies. 

E.Martirosyan also stressed that the RA NSS is ready to  cooperate with the SC Organization and jointly  fight against international terrorism in order to neutralize its threats .

Note that, in this context, the working visit of the delegation of the Executive Committee of the Organization to the Republic of Armenia, was the first.
