The National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, as a result of operational and search measures and investigation joint activities undertaken within the framework of the implementation of its functions to fight against crime, detected cases of willful damage to somebody’s property in especially large amounts and embezzlement of sum by deception.

According to the obtained preliminary data, in the period October 2018 to September 2019 a RA citizen beforehand targeted as victims female drivers and drivers who had expensive cars with <<gold>> numbers and periodically deliberately crashed different cars creating such accidental situation with his crashed << Daewoo Nexia >> and <<Vaz 21- 154>> cars, where he had an opportunity to put the blame on the aggrieved party whom, he by deception demanded and received about 600 000 AMD causing particularly large amount harm with total 4 697 000 AMD.

In some cases, he also received about 350 000 AMD as a crash compensation from insurance companies by deception. After having been brought in, the above mentioned person acknowledged the apparent offences.

In the Investigation Department of the NSS of RA, a criminal case has been initiated according to corresponding articles of the Criminal Code of RA

The preliminary investigation is going on. 

Note: The suspect or accused of an alleged crime is considered innocent as long as his guilt is not proven in a manner prescribed by the Code of Criminal Procedure of RA-by the court decision entered into legal force.
