Officers of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, as a result of undertaken large-scale operational and search measures and investigation activities, detected a case of receiving and giving a bribe.

In particular, within the framework of the criminal case initiated in the Investigation Department of RA NSS, the head of “Kosh” Penitentiary Institution of the Ministry of Justice of RA and two other persons were brought in and detained on suspicion of receiving a bribe.

The preliminary investigation on the fact of the apparent crime goes on; measures are being taken to detect the circle of people involved in the crime.

Note: The suspect or accused of an alleged crime is considered innocent as long as his guilt is not proven in a manner prescribed by the Code of Criminal Procedure of RA - by the court decision entered into legal force.
