The National Security Service of RA, as a result of operational and search measures and investigation activities undertaken within the framework of implementation of its functions to fight corruption, detected a case of embezzlement by fraud of a sum in an especially large amount by a serviceman of Border Guard Troops.

According to the obtained preliminary data, the serviceman of the N military unit of Border Guard Troops of the NSS of RA, having got acquainted and got close with two persons (a sister and a brother), offered assisting them, in exchange for a bribe, in getting employed in the National Security Service of RA. Acting by common intent, during September-December 2018, under the above-stated and other pretexts, he embezzled from them fraudulently and through abuse of their trust, in pieces, a sum in an especially large amount, in total 3 104 632 AMD.

In the Investigation Department of the NSS of RA, a criminal case has been initiated on the fact of the apparent crime, according to corresponding articles of the Criminal Code of RA. Based on the weight of the obtained sufficient evidence, 1 person has been charged. The serviceman of the Border Guard Troops is arrested.
